Our last Rising Artist Spotlight for this year is a great one! It is the acoustic Album Release for Luna Koi!
LUNA KOI is a rising duo formed in 2022 by NY native singer/songwriter Kelly Joyner, and Huntsville guitarist Chris McDonald. Luna Koi's music is a fusion of Joyner's folk background and McDonald's 90's alternative pop/rock roots, mixed with Americana undertones: lacing thoughtful guitar riffs with haunting harmonies. LUNA KOI recorded their debut album with Grammy award winner Jimmy Nutt at the Nutthouse Studio in Alabama and is scheduled to release in September 2024. They frequently tour as an acoustic duo but also play with cellist Kevin Lay, and with a full band to recreate the intensity of the record.
